Your privacy

What we collect when you contact us, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Last updated

This website is run by Think Academy Limited (“Think Academy”, “we”), at 12/102C Hobsonville Road, Hobsonville, Auckland; 30 Kell Drive, Albany, Auckland. We handle personal information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our enrol enquiry form, we collect:

  • your first and last name, email address and phone number;
  • your child’s name and year level;
  • your preferred campus, the subjects you are interested in, and anything you write in your message.

The fields marked * are needed for us to reply and book an assessment; without them we cannot respond to the form, but you can call or email us instead. If you call, email or message us, we treat what you tell us in the same way. This website has no analytics or advertising cookies.

Why we collect it

We use it to reply to your enquiry, arrange a free assessment for your child and recommend a programme. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for anything unrelated to your enquiry.

Who else handles it

  • Web3Forms delivers the enquiry form to our email inbox.
  • hCaptcha checks that the form is sent by a person, not a spam bot. It may collect information about your device and browser to do this, under its own privacy policy.

Web3Forms and hCaptcha load when you open the enrol page, before you send anything, so they receive your browser’s IP address and device details then. These services are based overseas, so your information may be stored or processed outside New Zealand.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, and we take reasonable steps to keep it secure.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you or your child, and ask us to correct it. Call or email us: 0800 666 188 or edu@thinkacademy.co.nz (by email, put “Privacy” in the subject line).

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
